A Synopsis of the Universe
copyright 1998 Charles Bryan
I know that I exist; the question is, what is this 'I' that I know? (Descartes 1641)
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. We are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is just a dream, and we are the imaginations of our selves. (Bill Hicks 1961-1994)
'I' am not a human being, 'I' am being human. (Charles Bryan 1998)
About the universe.... Yes, how to write about that! Well, here's my synopsis (such that it is):
In this synopsis, and in others areas of this webnexus, you will see me using references to "God", "Jesus", and other mystical icons and concepts. This is only to help facilitate understanding by using something familiar to you. This will be especially true for Judeo-Christian affiliates or those who have had some exposure to such beliefs. Every person on this planet has some concept of a god, or in some cases, gods. Therefore, the usage of "God" should have some relevance to whomever visits this webnexus. In the case of "Jesus", well, there has been extreme influence of this personality for the past 2000 years, so I'm sure you also have some exposure to this as well (unless you've just arrived to this planet or are receiving some remote EM broadcast of this text!).
The cover page states that this webnexus is dedicated to the exploration of human consciousness. This pretty much would include everything. I'll try to limit and organize as much as possible. Human consciousness is chosen because, as there are other beings with consciousness, I feel we are more familiar with humans than some other extraterrestrial lifeform. And the fact that I've not met any other sentient beings other than ourselves. But what is consciousness? The tentative definition would be "the awareness of self". What is "self"? The self is that which has the thought "I am". The self is not the body. It's not even the brain. The self is the "real" you. Look around you. You see what you perceive as reality; You are aware of it. Now close your eyes. The perceived reality has vanished, replaced with an amorphous blackness; a void, that may even have some swirling colors. You are no longer aware of the visual perception of your surroundings, but you are still aware. If, through some meditation technique, you could let go of your sound perception and bodily sensations, you would still be aware. Stop thinking. This is extremely difficult, in fact, it can't be done. In fact, trying not to have a thought, is a thought. What you can do is shift betwixt thoughts. After a bit of practice, through meditation, the thoughts become weaker and you become unaware of the thought but aware of the thinker. With no awareness of thoughts, you are still aware. Of what, you may ask. I don't see or hear or feel anything! Your are still aware of your self. That is you. That singularity when the outside world and inner thoughts and sensations are ignored. You are that which water cannot wet, fire cannot burn, wind cannot dry, a knife cannot cleave, time cannot age, science cannot quantize (though we try).
Ancient mysticism and contemporary physics are merging. How? Mysticism has been stating that the universe is the result of vibrations in a sea of pure potentiality called Spirit. These vibrations of infinite frequencies interact, creating resonances and dissonances, which result as the physical phenomena we experience. And consciousness is the extension of God experiencing Himself subjectively through us. The universe is the result of God becoming aware of Himself. Quantum mechanics is discovering that all matter in the universe is composed of 'particles' that exist as "wave functions" of a Unified Field; a field of potentiality. The particles are composed of looped "strings" (photons revolving about quantum singularities) that vibrate at various rates, and appear and disappear from the universe based on a probability of it's existence; ultimately manifesting as electrons, protons and neutrons which are the basis of all matter. Consciousness is transiently isolated, spontaneous state reductions of a collective mass of particles in superposition, which exists for a long enough time period to reach quantum gravity threshold. That's a thought-full!!! That consciousness theory is a bit tentative (and may not be exactly accurate). I suggest reading up on quantum mechanics to understand the terminology. Seems to me that Spirit and the Unified Field are one and the same. The universe is merely a holistic interference pattern of energy. What started the first ripples in this sea of energy?
The universe is malleable. Our consciousness can manipulate the chaos into order; bring into manifest anything from the pure potential of spirit. We, according to the Bible, were created in "our image and our likeness" as quoted from God (notice the pluralness). We were created in the image and likeness of God; what is God capable of? I believe that means we are capable of creation in every sense. Jesus mentioned that if we had faith, we could do anything!! Go read it. Anything. What is God capable of? Anything. We were created in his image. What are we capable of? _________? At least one of the main components needed in creation is visualization. Guaranteed, if you could in your mind conceive a perfect image, sound, smell, touch and feel of a particular situation or event, IT WILL HAPPEN instantly. The only problem is that most of us can't do a perfect job of it. That same mechanism is how magic works! No one says this, but study magic sometime. You don't necessarily have to practice it, but study the different forms and rituals. One of the main components is symbolism. Pictures or icons of the desire's intent. These help the subconscious visualize the intent. Then, hopefully, it happens.
Ever wish for something? And at least it partially happened? It may have not been exactly the way you wanted, but it did happen? Like, wish to win the lottery, and you actually find a twenty on the sidewalk or you get some unexpected money from a stranger when you needed the help? The wish came true, but not the way you wanted. But that should tell you that wishes come true, you just need to wish it correctly! It works both ways. If you think bad things will happen to you, negative things seem to happen. Think about it. Remember! Another Key. Memory plays a role because you can remember the coincidences and see that you once had wished it to be. Be careful what you wish for!!
